Besides typing games, the apps also offer lessons with varying degree of difficulty, exercises, fun activities, video tutorials, step-by-step guidance, and many more. The apps are ideal for both kids and adults. The purpose is to help you learn to type with faster speed and higher accuracy.

Typist is a popular typing app to use on your Mac. It offers an accompanying tutor that helps you learn touch typing. Typist provides a wide variety of typing lessons and courses that cover different skill levels. For instance, course T is especially useful for beginners while courses Q and S are good for those with some typing experience.
2. Animal Typing
Animal Typing is another good typing app for Mac users. It helps users develop their typing skills through fun and engaging ways. Depending on your typing skill, you get an animal and the faster you type the faster is your animal. Typos and inaccuracies reduce typing speed. Typing Fingers is a good typing app for Mac users. It offers various interactive and fun games to help you learn typing. The app includes 32 lessons organized along a gradual continuum of difficulty from simple to complex level. During the lessons, Dennis, the tutor, helps you 'learn which fingers are for striking which keys.' Lessons are divided into two main parts: the first part is concerned with learning the correct motion and memorizing letters and symbols. The second part is an interactive game that reinforces what is learned from the first part of the lesson.
