Some Great Android Math Apps for Students

For those of you asking about Android math apps to use with students in class, here is a list of some of my favourite picks. From homework helpers to math solvers and graphing calculators, the collection below features some of the best android math apps you can find out there. 1. Khan Academy

Khan Academy offers a personalized library of learning materials covering various subjects including math. Students will have access to a huge collection of educational resources that include interactive activities, videos, step-by-step tutorials, articles, and many more. 

The app also offers quizzes, practice exercises, and test with instant feedback and hints. Khan Academy works offline allowing students to download their learning materials and access them anywhere they are.

2. Photomath

Photomath offers help with math homework. Students can use it (after they have tried their best) to access math explanations and step-by-step solutions. Some of the key features it provides include the ability to scan math problems and instantly find their solutions, how-to animations, word problem explanations, a multi-functional scientific calculator, interactive graphs, and more. 

Math topics covered include: basic math/pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics.

3. Microsoft Math solver

Microsoft Math solver is another good app to help students with their math homework. Its AI powered math calculator helps with solutions to math problems covering different areas including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and arithmetic. 

The way it works is simple: take a snapshot of the math problem using the camera of your phone or write it down on the app screen and let Math Solver offers step by step explanations, interactive graphs, video tutorials, and similar problems from the web.

4. GeoGebra Classic

GeoGebra Classic includes three powerful functions into a single application: graphing, geometry, and computer algebra. Some of its features include: the ability to create interactive geometric constructions, plot functions with sliders and solve equations, 3D graphing, instantly visualize parameters and distributions, search for learning resources from within the app, save and share results with others, and more.

5. Symbolab Graphing Calculator

6. Mathway: Scan & Solve Problems

Mathway is  another good Android math app for students. It offers help with math problems in algebra, graphing, and calculus. 7. MalMath: Step by step solver

MalMath is an Android math app that solves math problems using step-by-step explanations and graph analysis. More specifically, MalMath solves integrals, limits, derivatives, trigonometry, logarithms, equations, algebra, limits, and more. 

The app also works offline and supports numerous languages including German, Italian, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and more.



8. Mathlab

Mathlab offers this powerful graphing calculator for students in high school and up. The app includes a scientific calculator, a graphing calculator, a fraction calculator, an algebra calculator, a matrix calculator, and a library containing physical constants and functions. 

9. Cymath

Cymath is a math problem solver app that provides help with algebra and calculus problems. Cymath offers both answers and step-by-by explanations of how to get to these answers. The algebra topics covered include  equation, factoring, polynomial division, trigonometry, complex numbers, logarithms, and more. 

As for calculus, the app covers topics such as quotient rule, chain rule, integration by parts and partial fraction, product rule, trigonometric substitution, and more.

10. Coolmath Games Fun Mini Games

Coolmath Games android app helps students learn math and develop their mathematical confidence using a wide variety of causal games, mini games, trivia and brain training puzzles and many more. 

'With game categories like Fun Physics, Path Planning, Quick Reaction, Drawing and Match 3, Coolmath Games lets you train your brain in all sorts of ways.'
