When it comes to digital reading, e-readers have come a long way to establish themselves as viable competitors to laptops and tablets. They offer unique features and functionalities that enhance digital reading. Some of their key strengths include:  portability, simplicity, distraction-free interface, annotations, among others. Also, e-readers enable you to access and carry your personal library anywhere you go.

Two of the most popular brands out there are Kindle and Kobo. Over the years, I experimented with both but recently I find myself using more attracted to Kindle (Paperwhite), probably because it is the only e-reader that provides me with a similar reading experience as when I am reading a paperback. So, if you and your students are on the lookout for e-readers and are still undecided which to get, below are four options you may want to consider. These are, in my view, some of the best e-readers for students. Check them out and share with us your feedback on the social media profiles of Educational Technology and Mobile Learning.
