Here Is A Helpful Video Search Tip for Teachers

Key Moments is a relatively new video search feature introduced by Google. With this functionality, videos appearing on Google search results are broken into various key moments, that is, specific time frames or timestamps that can be easily accessed with a single click. Key Moments provides you with a quick overview of the main points covered in the video and enables you to quickly navigate to those portions of the video that interest you the most.

This is an especially helpful feature for us in education. Next time you search for video content to share with students in class you can first view its key moments. This will save you so much time and will allow you to share only those portions of the video that are relevant to your search. Also, you no longer need to watch the whole video from start to finish only to learn that it is not what you are looking for, Key Moments provides you with the information you need to decide whether to watch the whole video, parts of it, or not to bother with it all.

Key Moments works with YouTube videos that have enabled timestamp data through markups. Check out this post to learn more about Key Moments.
