Educational Android Apps for Students with Special Needs

Below is a collection of some good Android apps curated specifically for students with special needs. The apps cover different areas including dyslexia, autism, and visual impairment. Here Are Some Good Android Apps for Students with Special Needs
1- LetMeTalk: Free AAC Talker
‘A free AAC talker app which supports communication in all areas of life and therefore providing a voice to everyone. LetMeTalk is donation financed. LetMeTalk enables you to line up images in a meaningful way to read this row of images as a sentence. To line up images is known as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).’

2- Speech Assistant 
‘Speech Assistant is a medical AAC app designed for people who are speech impaired. This may be in the case of aphasia, MND/ALS, autism, stroke, vocal cord problems or other speech problems. With the app you can create categories and phrases, which are placed on buttons. With these buttons you can create messages that can be shown or spoken (text-to-speech). It is also possible to type any text using the keyboard.’

3- Autism Therapy with MITA

4- Color Blind Pal
‘Color Blind Pal helps people who are color blind see the colors around them. It also lets people with normal vision see what it's like to be color blind.’

5- Google Text-to-Speech

6- Magnify

7- OCR Instantly Pro
‘OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition which is a technology to convert image to text. This apps takes an image and converts it into digitized text which can then be shared to other applications such as Email and SMS, or simply copy paste the text to anywhere you like.’

8- JABTalk
‘JABtalk is a free speech communication application designed to help non-verbal children and adults communicate.’
