Here Is How to Collect and Manage Responses on Google Forms

Google Forms is a great free web tool that allows you to create a wide variety of forms (e.g., surveys, polls, questionnaires..etc). Your forms can include various multimedia materials such as text, images, videos, and charts. In today's post we are sharing with you some handy tips on how to collect and manage your Forms responses. More specifically, you will get to know how to :
  • View responses by question
  • View responses by person
  • View responses in a spreadsheet
  • Download all responses as CSV file
  • Stop collecting responses
  • Turn on/off response notifications
  • Collect respondents email addresses
1- View responses by question
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Click on ’Summary’


2- View responses by person
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Click on ‘Individual’


3- View responses in a spreadsheet
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Click on Spreadsheet icon on top right



4- Download all responses as CSV file
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Click on ‘More’ and select ‘Download responses (.csv).’



5- Stop collecting responses
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Turn off ‘Accepting responses’


6- Turn on/off response notifications
  • Open a form in Google Forms
  • Click ‘Responses’ at the top of the form
  • Click on ‘More’ and select ‘Get email notifications for new responses’.


7- Collect respondents email addresses
This feature allows you to collect email addresses from your respondents.Anyone who wants to fill in your form will be prompted to provide their email address.
  • Open a form in Google Forms.
  • In the top right, click Settings.
  • Check the box next to "Collect email address."
