Use the search box in Pexels to search for specific photos or you can browse pre-arranged collections such as ‘Popular Photos’, ‘Popular Searches’, and ‘Leaderboard’. Once you find the photo you are interested in you can use the download link on the left hand side to download it in different size formats. You also have the option to customize size values to fit your download proportions. If you open an account with Pexels you will have the added benefits of being able to create collections of photos you find and like on the site and share them with others. You will also be able to follow your favourite photographers and stay updated about their latest uploads.
Pexels also offers free videos that are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0). However, while photos and videos on Pexels are free, you still need to consider this restriction which states that ‘identifiable people may not appear in a bad light or in a way that they may find offensive, unless they give their consent. You should also make sure the depicted content (people, logos, private property, etc.) is suitable for your application and doesn't infringe any rights.’
