In previous posts here in EdTech and mLearning we covered some very good tools teachers and students can use to turn educational and inspirational quotes into beautiful posters and graphics to use in class. In this post, we are introducing you to an interesting source called Wikiquote where you can access and find a wide variety of quotes from popular thinkers and notable creative works. This compendium of quotes, besides being free of charge, is also available in different languages.

Wikiquote provides the collaborative features of a standard wiki; meaning that as a user, you can contribute and /or edit others contributions. Quotes are organized into different categories including: People, Literary Works, Proverbs, Films, TV Shows, and Themes. “The project was started on June 27, 2003 and there are 28,924 articles in English that are being worked on with many more entries pending in other languages. Every day many contributors from around the world make hundreds of edits and create many new articles. All of the site's content is covered by the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License‎ and the GNU Free Documentation License.”
