6 Key Questions to Evaluate the Credibility of The App's Content

A few days ago, we shared a visual on App Evaluation Guidelines in which we talked about some of the key points teachers should consider when selecting educational apps to use in class. In today’s post, we are sharing with you another evaluative framework to help you assess the credibility of an app’s content. The present framework  provided by Jonas-Dwyer (2012) is based on Trinkle and Merriman’s (2006) criteria  for evaluating web resources. It features 6 questions to ask yourself when assessing the suitability and credibility of apps' content. You can use it together with App Evaluation Guidelines to help you both vet, process and select educational apps to use in class and to also make informed pedagogical decisions on the rationale underlying your selections.
