Interactive posters are great learning and teaching materials that you can use for a wide variety of educational purposes. From breaking down difficult processes to visual brainstorming, interactive posters are a good way to communicate visually and boost comprehension.
Below are some of my favourite web tools to use to create interactive posters and design engaging visuals. These are all simple and easy to use platforms that have a minimum to no learning curve. Also, these interactive poster making tools are student-friendly and can be used in educational settings in or out of class.
1. Adobe Express
Adobe Express is a great tool to create interactive posters and visuals for your class. Its intuitive editor is simple and easy to use. You start by choosing a pre-made template from the library or start building your own from scratch. You can edit the template the way you want. You can add design assets, insert Adobe Stock royalty free photos, icons, access over 2000 unique Adobe fonts, tons of photo effects, and many more. Adobe Express free plan is limited the premium plan offers way more features.
2. Canva for Education
Canva is a design platform that allows you to create a wide range of interactive media materials including infographics, posters, presentations, worksheets, comic strips, newsletters, book reports, cards, and many more.
Canva for Education is a Canva tool made specifically for teachers, students, and school districts. It offers all Canva pro features for free including tons of premium templates, royalty free images, premium icons and text fonts, background remover and many more.
You can simply choose a template from the site's library, customize it the way you want and share it with you students. Alternatively, you can create your template from scratch using Canva for Education editor.

3. Google Drawings
Google Drawings is another good free tool to use to create interactive visuals. You can draw your visuals, add text, insert images and shapes, add tables, insert videos and links to websites, and many more. You can also use Google Drawings to create diagrams and flow charts. Everything you create is automatically saved to your Google Drive account and from there you can easily insert it into other Drive services such as Google Docs and Google Slides.
4-Thinglink
Thinglink allows you to bring life to your pictures and make them interactive through embedding links, videos, music, and text. Also, 'ThingLink offers an easy way to create audio-visual learning materials that are accessible in an integrated reading tool. PiktoChart is another good web tool to create interactive posters for your Class. PiktoChart provides you with a number of pre-made templates to choose from and allows you to customize them the way you want. You can also start creating your designs from scratch using a blank template.
You can add links, images, text, icons, videos, and many other elements into your visuals. Once your production is ready you can share it in various ways including directly on social media networks .
