#Edtechchat A Great New Hashtag for Teachers and Educators

I just want to quickly inform the  readers of Educational Technology and Mobile Learning that a new hashtag for teachers has seen the light. This hashtag is called #edtechchat and is founded by @thomascmurray, @KatrinaStevens1, @iplante, @s_bearden, and@ajpodchaski .




The weekly #edtechchat  takes place on Monday evenings from 8-9 pm EST, and right now there is an interesting educational chat going on in #edtechchat with tweets from famous educators such as @cybraryman1, @Tomwhitby and many many others. My first impression about what is being shared and discussed in this new virtual space is that it will have the same success as its sister #edchat.

 #edtechchat is a great place for teachers to learn about, connect with , and share tips and resources on educational technology. Think about it as a free professional development session held right from the comfort of your couch. 

I invite you to check out #edtechchat and take part in the knowledge building taking place there. There is also a wikispace wiki where #edtechchat archives will be stored but the wiki is currently under construction.
