5 Good Word Cloud Tools for Teachers

In this post, I share with you this interesting collection featuring some good tools to use to create and share word clouds. Check them out and share with us your feedback.

1- Tagxedo


Tagxedo is a great word cloud tool. You can use it the same way like Wordle but with an added feature which is  that of creating clouds in various forms.


2. Shapecloud

Shapecloud is a free word art generator from Creative Fabrica that allows you to easily generate your own word art. To start creating your word art, select a shape of your choice. You can either choose from Shapecloud' s pre-made shapes or you can upload your custom shape through an SVG file.

Once your shape is selected, provide words you want to include in your word art, then select your favourite font and colour. When your design is complete you can download it in various formats including PNG, SVG, or as PDF file.


3- Wordle


Wordle helps you generate word clouds from the text you provide. Keywords are given prominence in your cloud and you can use the clouds you create the way you like, print, or share with others.


4- Wordsift



Wordsift is a  simple word cloud tool to create word clouds. It was originally developed at Stanford. Here is how it works:  type in your type in the box or copy and paste it there and press" Sift" to view your cloud.

5- ABCYA


ABCYA provides a very practical tool to create word cloud for kids. The tool is very simple to use and has a  kid-friendly interface. "Type or paste your words into the box and then generate a visual representation of your text. Get creative by choosing a custom font, color, and layout, and turn your words into a work of art!"
