Hot Potatoes requires a download. You will be able to find the download file you need for your computer. It supports Windows, Mac, and Lunix. If you use Windows like me then look for the version 6.3 and the Java version 6.1. You are already granted license to download so do not worry about privacy issues. Just remember that when you first start up Hot Potatoes, it will ask you for your user name. This is stored on your computer and will be used to identify you as the author of any work you do on Hot Potatoes. So you need to make sure to provide a user name before you start using any of its features.
The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications that will enable you to do the following:
- Create interactive multiple-choice exercises
- Create short-answer or crossword taska
- Make jambled- sentences exersices
- Create matching/ordering and gap-fill exercies
