If you are looking for an easy and reliable platform to create your classroom website, Google Sites is definitely one of the best options to consider. It provides you with the space and tools needed to design your portal the way you want and all for free. In yesterday's post we shared a collection of tips and guidelines to help you learn everything you need to get started using Sites in your instruction. In today's post we are sharing with you 4 good Google Sites templates you can use to quickly set up websites for various educational purposes. Of course, you can always customize these templates, add/delete sections and pages, change layouts and themes and many more. To access any of the templates cited below, head over to Google Sites template gallery.

1- Student Portfolio template

This is an excellent template students can use to create their own portfolios. It consists of the following sections: About me, Achievement, Strengths, and Goals. Of course, students can add more sections and pages using the Sites editor.

2- Club template

This is ideal for creating websites for group projects students work on. Students can use this website to share with others what their project is all about, the purpose of their group project, and the accomplishments they have achieved so far. They can upload multimedia materials, embed content, add visuals and many other materials to their website.

3- Class template

You can use this template to easily set up a website for your class. It includes various sections and pages where you can share a wide variety of content: learning goals of your class,  description of your courses to help students "understand what to expect for the semester", Announcement banners to share important dates and/or events, a resources section to enable students to access class related materials , and many more. Of course you can customize the layout and sections the way you want.

4- Event
You can use this template to design websites for special events for your class or school. For instance, you can use it to create a website for a conference or workshop you organizing. You can add sections to share particular details about your event; for instance, speakers taking part in your conference, the goals of the event, where it will take place, and many more.
